Article 1 – Length of stay
The customer who accepts the present contract for a fixed term may not, under any circumstances, avail himself of any right to remain in the premises.

Article 2 – Booking validation
Stays are guaranteed by the provision of a full credit card number. No direct debit will be made before the start of the stay. The customer must pay the full amount of the stay on arrival, by credit card, cheque or cash.
For bookings made more than one month in advance, and only in this case, a deposit can be accepted. It will be cashed on receipt and deducted from the bill on arrival.
Deposit amount :
– for 1 to 4 nights, the entire stay
– for more than 4 nights, first 4 nights + 10% of remaining nights
Deposit payment method: either by cheque (payable to Esprit des Chartrons) or by bank transfer. Reservations are not binding until the deposit has been received.

Article 3 – Cancellation by the customer
All cancellations must be notified to the owner in writing.
Cancellation before the start of the holiday :
– if the cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the stay for stays of 1 to 2 nights, or less than one month for stays of 3 nights or more, the owner will retain 30% of the cost of the stay.
– if the cancellation is made between 48 hours and 24 hours before the start of the stay, the owner will retain 60% of the total amount of the reservation.
– if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the start of the stay, the owner will retain the full amount of the reservation.
If the customer does not show up before 7 p.m. on the start date of the stay, the owner may dispose of the rooms and will retain the total amount of the reservation.
In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation is retained in full by the owner.

Article 4 – Cancellation by the owner
The owner must inform the customer in writing and offer alternative accommodation with equivalent facilities. Without prejudice to any claims for damages, the customer will be reimbursed immediately for any sums already paid.

Article 5 – Arrival time
Rooms are available from 5pm. Customers must notify us if they arrive after 8pm. The parking space will only be made available when you take possession of the room.

Article 6 – Departure time
On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 12pm, and the parking space will be available until 4.30pm.

Article 7 – Tourist tax
The tourist tax is collected by the owner, who then transfers it to the Treasury. This tax partly finances the Bordeaux Tourist Office. It is included in the room price.

Article 8 – Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the customer for a room of the same or greater capacity. In this case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.

Article 9 – Occupants
The number of occupants must be as agreed at the time of booking. Otherwise, the owner reserves the right to refuse guests; please note that the Montaigne room is not suitable for children. No visitors are allowed in the guest house unless prior agreement has been given by the owners.

Article 10 – Pets
To avoid disturbing other guests, pets are not allowed at Ezpondakoborda. Should the customer fail to comply with this clause, the owner’s refusal to accept animals and their owners cannot be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the owner’s initiative. As a result, no refund can be made in the event of the customer’s departure.

Article 11 – Art of living, use of premises
To ensure the peace and quiet of the site and the comfort of its guests, the customer undertakes to respect the rules of good manners set out in the rooms and in these general terms and conditions of sale. We also ask you to refrain from smoking in the rooms and to respect the peace and quiet of the premises.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare, and assume financially, any damage for which he may be responsible. Children are the sole responsibility of their parents. Guests are not free to use the kitchen.

Article 12
These conditions of sale may be modified at any time without prior notice. Payment of a deposit or provision of a credit card number implies acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions of sale.

Article 13
In accordance with the law of January 6, 1978, amended on January 8, 2018, you have the right to access and rectify data concerning you. Ezpondakoborda undertakes not to pass on to other companies or organizations the information that you have communicated to us.
